Development Coordinator at the Little Red Door Cancer Agency in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Development Coordinator is a full-time position that reports directly to the Manager, Strategic Partnerships. The Development Coordinator assists the Development Team with implementation of engaging cultivation and stewardship strategies that enhance and grow relationships with current and prospective donors. This entails supporting the Director and CEO with bi-monthly Board Meeting preparation, creation and distribution of stewardship pieces as appropriate, using a CRM to pull reports and appropriately track cultivation and stewardship communication, planning and management of cultivation and stewardship events and prospect research in collaboration with gift officers.

Additionally, the Development Coordinator is charged with the responsibility of managing all logistics related to the, planning, execution, and evaluation of agency signature events and selected third-party events. The Development Coordinator works with and through the Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Chief Advancement Officer on all fundraising programs (particularly agency signature events and third party) and works in conjunction with other Departments on activities designed to enhance and support the overall mission of the Agency.

This position will also serve as the main point of contact for all individual and group service project volunteers. This entails responding to inquires in a timely manner, facilitating volunteer orientations, training volunteers and volunteer groups on specific tasks/projects, and scheduling volunteer activities. Identify and recruit appropriate volunteers and/or groups utilizing traditional and non-traditional avenues. Navigate appropriate volunteer groups and/or individuals to help with development activities and third-party fundraisers; those not meeting the criteria for service projects.

Associate Director, Prospect Research & Management at The Jackson Laboratory (Remote)

The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) has a unique opportunity for an Associate Director, Prospect Research & Management within our Advancement team.  The Associate Director of Prospect Research and Management is responsible for identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for individual, corporate and foundation, major and principal gift solicitation. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services and Operations, the Associate Director synthesizes complex biographical and financial information and creates written narratives that are accurate, complete and actionable. Additionally, the Associate Director assigns prospects to gift officers by interest and affinity, manages movement through the pipeline, and assists gift officers in planning strategies and priorities. The Associate Director tracks the progress of development officers with their prospect portfolios and maintains the contact history.

Donor Services Team Lead at Wheeler Mission

The Donor Services Team Lead assists the Director of Donor Services in facilitating donor giving and relationships through approved processes and accurate recording of information. Daily tasks require a high level of accuracy and critical thinking. Typical responsibilities include donor communication, data request fulfillment, reporting using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT, and cash handling.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of database management experience

An ability to type a minimum of 40+ words per minute with a high degree of accuracy

Extensive experience and above average competence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software


Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience in Blackbaud’s donor database the Raiser’s Edge NXT

Experience working for a nonprofit organization in human services, rescue mission, or ministry


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may supervise and schedule 1-5 volunteers when needed for specific office tasks or when assisting at fundraising events. In the absence of the Director of Donor Services the position will supervise the daily operations of the Donor Services office.


Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time 40-hour per week position, generally with some flexibility working primarily Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A portion of this position may be completed in a work from home setting. Occasional evening or weekend overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Director of Advancement Services

Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Operations the Director of Advancement Services supports all the activities of the Advancement Office through the accurate maintenance and oversight of all donor and alumni records.  This support also includes oversight of gift receipting and accounting, individual donor correspondence, mailing production, report generation, database management, special event support, and stewardship implementation for all departments within University Advancement and across IWU.  The role will enhance and increase the effectiveness of the fund-raising efforts at Indiana Wesleyan University conducted through University Advancement.
